Born in 1974 in Belgium, he lives and works in Antwerp, Belgium. A graduate of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts (KASK) in Ghent, where he teaches documentary photography. He has worked for various media outlets in Belgium and the Netherlands, reporting on social and political issues in the Balkans and the Middle East. In 2014, his project "Mediterranean," a portrait of the Mediterranean Sea region, debuted at the Museum of Photography in Antwerp.
