Founded in 1993 by Jakob Fenger, Rasmus Nielsen, and Bjørnstjerne Christiansen, they are based in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Their practice is a self-described provision of “tools” that affect or influence their social or economic context. In action, these tools work as proposals and models that often are rooted in their particular local context and invite encourage modification and appropriation by viewer/users. Superflex works both within and outside traditional art contexts, collaborating with experts such as architects, designers, engineers, artists, businesses and marketers on tools that challenge various systems of power.
