Born in 1977 in Papendrecht, the Netherlands. Lives and works in Amsterdam, Berlin and in Hassi, Finland. A filmmaker and visual artist as well as a marathoner and triathlete, he is notable for producing works physically testing his endurance. He pursued studies in industrial design, archeology, music composition, and Russian language and literature at several universities in the Netherlands before creating his first video-documentary performances at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy around 2000. Since then he has created a variety of works, including a series of films and videos and musical compositions.
