Agata Michowska born in 1964 in Wysokie Mazowieckie, Poland. Graduated from the Sculpture Department of the State Higher School of Fine Arts (now The University of Arts) in Poznan in 1990. Her art has evolved from ascetic, site-specific sculptural works subjected to strict formal rigor to multimedia projects in which objects, images, film, photography, sound and narrative motives coexist, extending the idea of sculpture as a form subjected to continuous transformation in time and space.She runs the Studio of Multimedia Actions at the Faculty of Painting and New Media of the Art Academy in Szczecin and the Studio of Sculpture at the Collegium Da Vinci in Poznan.
